Welcome Aboard!

In addition to the weekly harbor and coastal sailing opportunities, MIT Bluewater also has an active racing program. MASHNEE participates in a variety of racing formats, from the Wednesday Night Series to weekend contests in the Mass Bay Series, and occasional overnight distance races. The MIT Bluewater racing program offers opportunities for sailors to develop and apply their sailing abilities across different disciplines. Sailors interested in crewing opportunities aboard MASHNEE should sign up via the Bluewater section of the MITNA events calendar.

What can sailors expect to get out of racing? Depending on the race, sailors can expect to be on the water for 3 to 8+ hours, where crew will operate in a team-like atmosphere. Crew will be composed of both novice and seasoned sailors who are looking to further develop their skill sets in a performance focused setting.
