Description

Join us for a day trip to Spectacle Island. Please arrive at the pavilion on time and be ready to leave the dock by 8:30 am. We plan to return to the pavilion by about 3-5 p.m, depending on the weather. The island has bathrooms and a lunch counter. Please bring a lunch and/or snack (if you want to avoid "island prices"), plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat and extra layers. It's often much colder and sunnier on the water than it is on land. Feel free to bring kites, cameras, or anything else of interest. Space is limited. Good shoes are a must, and rain gear is highly recommended - however the trip may be cancelled if there is fog, adverse winds, or thunderstorms likely on the day of departure. I will confirm entries Friday morning. If you find yourself unable to go, please let us know early and avoid last minute cancellations. All are welcome, but preference will be given to those with some experience and those unable to make these trips before.
