Saturday Nevermore racing Bos. Hbr. Regatta pursuit race

Description

Nevermore will be racing in the  Boston Harbor Islands Regatta on Saturday, Sept. 25.  The race starts and ends in the vicinity of Georges Island.   We need to motor to the race starting area to get there, and get phyched and organized,  before 10:00 AM.

NOTICE: We are scheduled to meet at the marina at 08:00 Saturday  (Original time was 07:30).   

A couple of experienced crew volunteers would be helpful at 07:30 AM or thereabouts.  

This is a "pursuit" race, wherein the slowest boat in each fleet starts at the signalled start time, and others then start at times that -- if their handicaps are defined correctly and are sailed with the same skill -- all boats should be crossing the finish line at the same time.  

Our finish position will be defined by our handicap and time finished as compared to all other boats in our fleet (non-spinnaker fleet.)   :Last year there were about 45-50 boats racing in each of the 2 fleets.)
