Lynx Catboat Trip to Spectacle Island

July 10 sail to Spectacle Island on Cape Cod Catboats

Please join us July 10 for a day trip to Spectacle Island, former Native American home, smallpox quarantine hospital, brothel, landfill, and now Big Dig depository and national park.

Please arrive at the pavillion at 8:30 a.m. and please be ready to leave the dock by 9. We'll sail out to the island, and plan to arrive back at the Pavillion by 5:30 p.m. The trip will be 2 or 3 hours each way; the island has bathrooms. Please bring lunch, plenty of water and extra layers just in case. We will probably hike up to the top of the island (which gives an all-around view of the whole harbor and takes about 20 minutes) so bring reasonable shoes!
