Description
Supervised Practice/Refresher in the Tech Dinghy for Experienced Sailors
(Will be combined with Learn-to-Sail Class 3.)
Class will be about 1.5-2 hours long. You will:
- Rig up a Tech Dinghy.
- After a short demo, join instructors on the course to practice steering, tacking, and gybing.
- Work your way upwind close-hauled and downwind, using the tiller extension and proper sail trim.
Requirements:
- You know how to rig a Tech Dinghy and sail well enough to get out on the water and back to the dock.
- You are an MIT student or affiliated or have an MIT Sailing Card.
