Intro to Foiling on the Waszp

Description

To get the WASZP rating you need to attend 2 of these classes

Requirements:

• Sailed laser (a lot). It would be preferred to see laser advanced and/or helmsman on your sailing card
• Being able to feel the wind, know where it is coming from without telltales
• Stay positive after every swim (you will be in the water a lot on the first day)

In the class we will cover:

• Rigging and derigging
• Basic theory on foiling
• Foil the boat (hopefully)

Is it safe?

The WASZP is the safest foiling boat going around for its speed. With no sidestays and aluminium foils with no sharp edges, plus the high wishbone boom, it was purposely designed to be safe and fast.
