Provisional Rating Instruction and Check-off

Description

During these two hours, we will have Helmsman-rated and otherwise experienced sailors on hand to help give you tips on your sailing, and when you demonstrate mastery of the relevant skills, to assign your MITNA provisional rating.

You should practice ahead of time.  Read the Provisional rating requirements, and look in the sailing booklet for details on each part.  Come practice beforehand, and ask around about anything you're not sure of.  We may also assign Crew ratings during or after the main session.

If you can't make this time, you can get your provisional rating at other times too, whenever a staff member or eligible volunteer takes the time to check you off.  The purpose of this date is to have lots of people on hand to help you improve your technique, and to assign you the rating.
