Introduction to the Laser

The laser is a very fun boat, but one that is harder to handle than the Tech Dinghy. Therefore, a Provisional Rating is mandatory for this class. The instructor will confirm that you have the rating before you are approved to take the class.

Because the laser is harder to handle, you must be proficient with sailing technique and terms, and you must be very ready to get quite wet, especially if the wind is strong. There is a good chance you will go swimming during this class!
